Since the end of 2017 (when I started consulting independently) I've been reviewing my year.
This week I will sit down to conduct my 2020 review. I'm sharing a bit of my process on Twitter - you can check out my Fleets. In fact, I won’t be alone. I’ll do it with my family. We have rituals around it.
The environment is the most important part of my process:
- yummy treats
- Great music that sets the stage for awesomeness!
- Colored pens
- Calendar/email for any reference
I’m looking at life through the following themes (lenses):
-People (who did I meet? Who had/made lasting impact? Where did serendipity occur?)
-Adventures (what incredibly adventures took place? Both intentional and unintentional.)
-Places (where did I go this year?)
-Learnings (both positive and negative)
-Creations (what did I manifest? Put out into the world?)
-Dreams (what dreams did I have that came true? Any new dreams?)
-Love (where did I find love this year? People/things)
-Family memories (with M, M and Rayan, parents, etc.)
These are the categories that I view the year through and then I’ll note them in different colors on a grid of the year.
Once complete I’ll look at connections between the themes and see what might have interesting connection points. I also tend to glance at the speed at which I am able to create what I desire - I'm super fast at this!
It’s interesting to see connections between when I set an intention and what it manifests.
While I’ll be recording a version of this to share more intimately with the Consulting Club, I wanted to share a bit about the process here.
(Note: I'll share about my 2021 future outcomes oriented framework.)
