What's after writing? Video.
While I'm still getting my writing legs under me, but I'm clear on what's after writing - video. I'm not sure when I'll formally kick things off just yet, but as I start to build more I'll likely use my public YouTube channel to share my thoughts.
Four years ago I did a small experiment with YouTube. But the more I'm watching where my life is intersecting with I see video as a core part of it. It makes sense. With the rise of asynchronous communication I'm writing more and I've made more videos via QuickTime, Loom, and Zoom in the last 12 months that I had in the decade prior to it.
As I plan my videos I know writing will be a core component of the process. With my studio setup I already have an iPhone, 4K camera, solid microphone, and the other accessories I need to record. I don't yet know how to use Final Cut Pro which I'll be using because of its flexibility. And I don't have any people who can help with additional editing and post-production support.
There will be a bit of a learning curve and I'm hopeful between friends who are active on YouTube, Skillshare (feel free to use my referral link), and watching a few YouTube videos I'll be able to pick up the foundational workflows in a month or two.
Onward.
